I used to watch videos and movies using Media Player but my friend lended me the DVD player Cd where I installed the "DVD Player". I realized that this progam was rubish because it couldn't read some videos so I uninstalled it. After I uninstalled it, I could use the Window Media Player and I can't watch any videos! I Disfragmented my PC to put things in order to see if it could open but it is useless. I am planning to unistall Media Player and install it again but were in the "Add or Remove" link in the control Panel, the Windows Media Player does not appear. Help?

I will give best answer.

I recommedn get windows media player 11(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx) and install it. It will upgrade your current installation and in the process will fix error.

I think the best media player is vlc player(videolan.org) which can play many formats. you can try that too. Its just a choice.

Now, if you have problem uninstalling any program, install ccleaner(www.ccleaner.com). It can clean junk file, remove bad registry, unintall programs etc. Definitely worth a try.
