The devil and Satan are just names. Its man who creates evil. But god intended this threw free will. What many will never understand is that god wants there to be a natural pull towards both good and evil.
What better way for use to learn. But what god wants more than a natural pull towards evil and good, is for man to overcome the evil on there own.

The Devil is a deity from Christian and Muslim religions. Before these religions came along there didn't seem to be a need for an "anti-God", or evil opposite to keep people in line. There was a time when humans worshiped the Gods to observe the cycles of nature and to express the joy of life - not because we were afraid of the immortal boogey-man or because we felt dirty or sinful.
What these faiths seem to have forgotten is that a deity can be dark without being evil, think Kali or the Morrigan. To me, the Devil seems to be more of a deified man, an expression of us at our worst. I see no reason to acknowledge our petty weaknesses as deity.
We don't need the Devil or Sin... only God(s) and Responsibility.

My perception is that anyone who believes in "the devil" is one who limits themselves to two ultimatums; heaven or hell. They figure that there is only good and evil, and nothing else. That's very narrow-minded.
The fact is that, just like there is a wide range of emotions, so too are there actions that vary. If someone is religious and don't pracice, so what? As long as they believe in what they do, they'll be fine. There are more than two places to go; This is where ghosts come in. They are here on earth and sometimes visible because they exist on a different plane that's visible in certain light, as have been proven in photos.

The devil is real. Was a great Angel, one of God's best.
But he decided he wanted to be God, so he got kicked out, and will be sentenced to hell forever.
Don't play with the devil, he will kill you if he gets the chance.
Better get to know Jesus, it's the only way to go to heaven and fight the devil while on earth.

i think that it is the second. i also believe that there is no satan only evil people that try to change people's positive beliefs towards God, Jesus, and all that is good. those people are dark entities who refuse to embrace the white light of the holy spirit and who try to destroy good people who are on this earth to do good things and help others.
that's what i think

According to Christians, Satan used to be one one of God's top angels. Then he turned on God. Now God and Satan are in constant war to win the souls of we humans and our offspring. They are opposites: good and evil; love and hate; ect.,ect.
