I am looking for a 5o inch plasma, what is the best one and what is the best deal, thanks in advance.

You'll have to search the Net for the best deal, but Panasonic and Pioneer make the best Plasma. Pioneer plasma is a better tv and much more expensive than the Panasonic---for those who has the money to burn.

Panasonic or Samsung, in that order. Panasonic has a good unit this year that has an incredible picture. But Samsung has units that last 27 years (insane amount of time for a plasma) and costs a little less.
I would avoid a brand you've never personally heard of. It's okay for many things - but plasma TVs are not one of them.

Consumer reports rate
Fujitsu panels the best (can't remember the model). But the LG 50PC1DR is close 2nd and then Panasonic TH50PX60 is 3rd.
I recon the best bang for your buck would be the LG - it has a 2 yr manufacturers warranty on it.
If you want to go cheaper, Toshiba and HP panels are not too bad either.

do not ever buy a phillips!! we are having so many problems! they told us "we cant make the repair shop fix your t.v." 50inch plasma. we should of bought sony.
