I went to Las Vegas and a Flea market and saw a woman take a shard or piece of metal that was rectangular but had a small brush at the end and she dipped into multiple pots of paint that had sponges in them. Then she made some strokes and drew people's names using the pictures. It was awesome. Can someone please answer my question.

This may be "leather brush art", the only other instance of which I've ever seen in San Francisco by a Chinese Immigrant who did a sensational job of painting by name embellished with waterfalls, birds, ships, and fish. His signature was an increadibly small (considering the width of his brushes) golden gate bridge. He often dipped the same brush into different colors on different sections of the sponge so that when he drew it across the paper, there were multiple colors in one stroke.
Sound familiar? or am I way off?
