First off, Windows 98 is a VERY dangerous OS. This OS is end of life and you can no longer access security updates. So basically, when you install Win98, you will be installing an operating system with little to any security that has HIJACK ME AND USE ME AS A BOT written all over it. I would not recommend connecting Win98 to the internet under ANY circumstances.

One choice is to put in Ubuntu as a large dossier within of Windows and allow Windows do the twin booting. Then, you'll be able to delete if vital and maintain the Win7 precisely as you hooked up it. But, it isn't that huge of a deal to do the whole set up to a Linux partition offered your rough force has the ability to make 2 walls. IIWY, study twin boot at the ubuntu boards. Mainly seem for postings discussing approximately deleting a Ubuntu partition and eliminating GRUB will have to you wish to return to all Windows. Then, the LiveCD means that you can stir up GParted to merge walls again in combination once more.
