I work with these guys that are always picking on me. They will always say stuff like "oh you make our work look good.." or "where is your boyfriend? those guys are checking you out.." or they will run up to scare me, throw stuff at me, poke my back or sides, say sexual innuendos, laugh at me when they are all together, etc. They know I am a "good girl" and I don't do that kinda stuff. So, The more "flustered" I get the more they laugh. WHY?! One of them told me that I was "fun" to pick on. What makes a girl fun to pick on and others not? And why am I being teased??

BTW--I am always pretty friendly and I smile and laugh a lot..so I like to have a good time, but I wonder why they would tease me constantly.

Where do you work? Threaten sexual harrasment. If it really bothers you tell your boss. Don't give them a response.

The only things I can think of is that maybe they are intimidated by you. You say they say you make their work look good. Well this could be part of it. You do better work and they cant handle that so they pick on you. Maybe they do it because one of them may like you and dont want his friends to know. It could be alot of reasons but dont let it get out of hand. You say some sexual innuendos have been made. This is not good and can lead to other problems if not controlled. Tell them to stop or you will turn them in for sexual harrassment. I know you probably dont want to do that but you might have to inorder to get it under control. It is for your own protection.

They pick on you beacuse they know that you aren't going to pick back or say anything. You are basically letting them walk all over you. Next time they make a joke, think of a good come-back and that should shut them up. If you don't like the sexual innuendos, then tell them that you would appreciate it if they wouldn't say things like that. You think that it is disrespectful. Plus, they are just being guys; perverted and stupid.

Guys love getting reactions so, if you are getting flustered, they will get more amused. I would hope the jokes don't get too bad and they are just having some fun with you. But, as another poster wrote, if they are creating a hostile workplace, then you are been sexually harassed and that is unacceptable.

It sounds as if you need to learn a bit about how to handle guys.
Clearly they find you attractive, or they'd ignore you.
Don't get angry and don't get flustered. Try to figure out a humourous response that doesn't make you sound "holier than thou." Humour almost always works with guys. All the better if it can be slightly self-deprecating.

These guys are stupid and immature and as a woman you don't need to subject yourself to their stupidity. Tell your manager the situation and if nothing changes find another job. Always respect yourself first and let others know how u want to be treated. Never settle for no kinda disrepect. Ask them would they want someone to treat their mom or sister that way? Always love u no matter what!!

Tell your supervisor about it. Start keeping a log of the incidents, including when you made your boss aware of your discomfort, then subsequent incidents. It's sexual harrassment. If your boss won't fix it, it will be legally actionable somewhere down the line. If your boss has a half a brain, he/she will stop it right now or risk facing severe legal grief later.

Are you teasing them and encouraging them?? at all?? If not, then definitely do a report of sexual harrassment through the proper channels at your work. The consequences of telling people to leave you alone generally are that you are left alone.

Because they are arseholes Mia. They know it makes you uncomfortable and instead of having any compassion to your feelings, they would rather make you a blushing wreck. Are they quite young? Hopefully they will soon find someone else to pick on - they might find out one of the fellas is gay - that would get them off your back.

Complain to your boss. That's inappropriate.
