As Jesus taught that His followers are to love one another, there are very few instances of violence against Islam from Christians. Hence they bring up the crusades, which were not really a Christian act, as it goes against a lot of what is spoken of by Jesus.

Because its a story of pain and suffering to the peoples of Arabia, regardless of their religion. Thousands and thousands of people were massacred by the Christians who were on a holy mission of their religion. And so after the centuries old war ended, the story of their persecution by the Christians were passed down from generation were passed down as if it was yesterday, and the same stories were retold again to this day. Nowadays, Muslims don't take that as a reason to murder people because the Prophet Muhammad preached forgiveness (Pope John Paul did say sorry for the Crusades didn't he?). But Muslims are still angry because of the continued opression by the Christians on Muslims.
Some of them are:
1) the hundreds years colonialization of Muslim peoples,
2) the horrible world wars by Christians
3) the defiant standoff by Christians on Muslim independence movements
4) the "turn a blind-eye" of the Christians on the hunger in Africa and the terrible global warming that Christians are doing.
Hope that helps.

I am not a Christian or a Muslim. But, I will never forget the Crusades and what they did to all of Europe and the Middle East. They killed their way across Europe and the Middle East.
They killed so many, the numbers are staggering, on their way to ''free'' their Holy Land. It was not theirs to begin with. They did not belong there. It was really a ploy of the church for power and wealth, under the guise of religion. This land belonged to the Jews and the Arabs who lived there. Europe had no business there.
I will also never forget what the Inquisition did to the Jews and the Muslims. One of the most peaceful times on earth, and time of knowledge and beauty was ruined in the name of Christianity. Hitler and Germany joins the ranks in this, too.
It is only radicals of Islam who now are on the rampage. I realize this. But, the average Jew and Muslim cannot forget the past, lest it happen again.

Muslims do not preach death. Extremists in all faiths do. The Crusades are a fine example of Christianity that should never be forgotten. The Pope ordered The Crusades and thousands of Muslim women and children lost their lives....it sounds familiar, doesn't it?

The battled occured by way of fact the Byzantine Emperior have been comspring with the Northen tribes to launch an attack against Muslims. Prophet Muhammad had many treaties with professional-Byzantine tribes. besides the fact that, by way of a pending attack there grow to be a conflict. the full causalities on the two sides 1018. while in comparison with the ecu marketing campaign that involed harmless females, infants, and the elderly complete nicely over one hundred,000 human beings have been killed. comparing them, what a huge distinction.

The religion of Islam started about 700 years after the alleged birth of Jesus and the start of Christianity, therefore the Muslim faith is roughly 700 years in the past i.e. the middle ages.
This would account for their primitive and ignorant intolerance.

Westerners are still fighting for control of the Holy Land, ya know...that's why it is relevant to mention the crusades (not that I'm trying to justify any "death to westerners" talk).

Islam doesn't preach death to any body. and i dont need to "defend" any crime committed by any one.
the attitude of the Christians of today speaks for itself. at least the so called Islamic terrorists are OUT LAWS and on the most wanted list of ALL Muslim countries, on the other hands Christians like George Bush don't need to break the Law to commit terrorism.

We don't bring up Crusades because we want to take revenge. We bring it up when we are called as the most violent religion, in that case we just like to remind you of your peaceful past.
