Today, I resigned. I feel that the employees know that I told on them...for this reason, I resigned today. The area manager was shocked...I told him that he would find out later, but I could not talk to him because Pete, one of the managers who does drugs while working, was there and other employees that are just like him. The HR manager wants details...I just want to move on. WHAT DO I SAY OR DO?

Be honest!

Since you wont be working there anymore, you have nothing to lose. Since you ratted them out, you might as well tell HR and follow up on it so something is done besides just you losing your job instead of the ones doing drugs!

You can NOT report this abuse, then walk away and not make sure there is some sort of resolution. It is fine if you feel you need to resign (which I, myself feel is hasty) but you need to clarify your reasons, make sure the higher ups know what is going on in detail, or else your report and resignation were for nothing. Do the right thing and finish the deal...

Should not have dropped the dime unless you were willing to drop the whole roll of dimes. You no longer work there so don't worry about what the HR folks want or need. On the other hand, I would not expect a reference from this place of employment either.........

you got yourself in a bind because it's sometimes advisable to just turn away even if there is an injustice or questionable behavior.

right or wrong few people like a narc.

but to answer your question, i think you'd have a load off your shoulders if you articulated the deal to hr rather than not disclose the details. bad time to shut up now-you should've shut up way before.

drop a note from the unemployment line since you just hosed yourself outta a job, narc boy.

If you can't talk to your HR manager privately, then move on without saying anything.

Do the right thing and talk to him. Sooner or later someone is going to get hurt.

mind your own business, as long as these people are not putting your life in jeopardy, who are you to decide how others should live their lives?
