OK ... I'm sorry to anyone who was offended by this question and to those who read more into it ... no, this is not my boyfriend I'm talking about. I have had conversations with a couple of men online in the past few days and they seem to think it's ok to ask someone for their phone # or address ... I'm am not about to invite a psyco stalker to my home. And one guy was telling me his life story and expected me to as well when I think he's weird to begin with.
P.S. It seems when I am honest and direct with a guy he gets defensive and things turn ugly.

It's not intentional...men are wired differently than women...they don't pick up well on subtle clues...don't biotch that they don't "get it" just be straight forward (but polite) from the get-go and save everyone some frustration.

Men are genetically programed not to listen- I am serious- They have a smaller path in the middle of the brain, the part where the two brains talk to each other, and that causes a lower communication ability- They do understand violence, that is why it is so common for "wife beaters". It has even been studied that women like to talk about problems, but if men talk about problems it actually pisses them off more- they need to work out or do something to feel better- so if you want to talk to a guy and get your point across, exercise together.

I think they need the time to absorb all the times we are trying to say. Maybe they aren't paying attention when you are speaking. Or instead of trying to make things sound nice, we should tell them straight up. Not all men are dense maybe some just can't face the face of being rejected. Some can be as senstitive as we are. Maybe they think we are just kidding around, some do think that.

Men are not dense, sweetie. Just like how there are some women out there who are pretty dumb, its likely that some men are this way too. Perhaps this is the unfortunate category where your boyfriend lies?
In this case, since you are having a relationship with this special guy, have patience with him and your relationship wil thrive. Patience is a virtue! :)
