Do I need to worry? Is there a way to prevent this? I don't drink. I do take prescription meds.

you might have a 'fatty liver.' i'd suggest reading 'liver cleansing diet.' that book will teach you about which foods hurt your liver's function. I'd take it seriously. I had fatty liver in college, and went on the liver cleansing diet. I lost 20 pounds and my enzymes returned to normal levels.

Like you, I didn't drink or take perscription medications. I'd advise you to use ibuprofen instead of tylenol - it's easier on your liver - and drink plenty of water.

it isn't an easy or fun diet, but it might just save your liver! keep in touch, and email me with questions and updates.

good luck

medication is broke down mainly in the liver...and if you have been taking medication for a prolonged period of time they can start to damage the liver.
also the kidneys...
yes i would be concerned if i was you...make your doctor do something about this now...don't let him tell you "lets wait and see' liver damage is nothing to play with...i'm not saying you have liver damage but you put this much strain of your liver it can damage it...you liver is like a filter...you put toxins in it, eventually its going to be damaged..

My grandmother had biliary cirrhosis of the liver, and her enzymes were elevated.

I could be very wrong, but you might look into gallbladder disease too.
