NO!
Paul said to die is gain, I believe that because I know my Savior.

If I'm trusting Jesus (& I am), in my salvation for life in eternity, then I should be able to trust him in the light of a gun; for how do I know that the person will pull the trigger? God protects those who trust him, if it means taking the bullets, then I still have to trust him, to lie just to save a loved one only says that you don't trust the Lord, because he already has the plan in his hand.

No way! God would be very disappointed in me. That's why it is mandatory for all Christians to keep praying to God each day to build their faith up so that they can become stronger. In this way, nothing will stop you from serving God even at the face of death. If faithful until the end, the reward will be everlasting life in the new world order.

Of course I would. If God exists, he's smart enough to know the difference between something said under duress and something heartfelt, don't you think?

Now, if a gun were pointed at my head and I was told to phone my wife and tell her to place herself in danger, I'd say to the gunman, "Uh, no way. You'll just have to shoot me, bud. Not gonna happen."

I can't honestly I wouldn't. I hope I wouldn't though. As someone else answered Jesus said "he who denies me before men I will deny him before the father. So I hope I would have the courage to hold fast to my beliefs.

Well bully for you! I'm glad you've prepared yourself for that eventuality. After all, one never knows when some armed heretic will jump out of an alley and demand: "Apostasy or your life!"

No.Only if lives other than mine were at stake-then I would lie and say that I am renouncing my beliefs.

hmmmm...how i wish to God that that will not happen to me or any Christian anymore, since until now, i know in some places in the world, they still do that to Christians:(....... but death is just a passage, and if my dying would make more better, loving Christians, then dying & martyrdom would be sweet.

what would be the point of that? Lets see live crappy life on earth and probably painful death or everlasting life in heaven? I'll take my chances in getting into heaven.

Those who save their life, will lose it. Those who lose their life for My sake will have everlasting life.
Jesus Christ
Evidently, heaven has no real value in your "Christian" walk!

I would hope not. See Philippians 1:21. Also, please read Mark 8:35. Jesus is talking to you in this verse. I think we need to keep our mind's eye focused on eternity.
