Well, the on-line tax servics say to always print a copy for yourself . But one year my printer was not working, so I could not. Later I needed a copy. I called the IRS and they mailed me a copy. It looked totally different...was in a different format...but all the info was there. 1-800-829-1040

You can contact the IRS and ask if they can send you a copy but that might throw up some Red Flags. And I am not certain they will go to the trouble and expense of doing it for you.

Can't hurt to give it a try. Did you keep the software you used on your computer...it might have an archive copy stored in some sub-file (no, I am not a computer whiz, it is just an idea). Of course you may have not done the electronic filing.

You could go to www.irs.gov and request a tax transcript for that year. It is free and it only takes a week or so to get it!

Hope this helps.

You need to be more organized & responsible with these things. It's your fault if you can't find them. You can always call the IRS for copies. They will probably give you a hard time.....
