Have you ever said, "I could be a better Muslim if I did ______." Or, "I would feel I was a stronger Christian if I _______."

What do you think you need to do to be a better follower of your chosen spiritual path?

I feel I could be a better Christian if I:
Forgive those who have hurt me and forget the hurt. I believe that forgiveness was Jesus' greatest example to us. When Jesus was dying on the cross, even He found it difficult to forgive. His prayer to God was "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." He was asking the God within Him to forgive through Him. When I find forgiveness difficult, I pray, "Lord, help me to forgive. Forgive through me with Your strength and grace."

That is a difficult question but well worth pondering. YOU should get major points for asking such a thought provoking question.

I would be farther along in my Christian life if I would put God first all of the time instead of half the time, some of the time, etc. But I am getting better. I don't ask myself 'what would Jesus do?' After doing something in public, anything, I try to remember ask myself if a stranger would be turned off by Chrisitanity because of my behavior or would it encourage them to seek the Lord?

Also, if I could consistently tithe. I understand that we can get spiritually disconnected from God if we do not tithe, and that it is just not about the money with God. But a few times this year, my money wasn't right and I said, I can't afford to tithe. But when I REALLY thought about what God does for me on a daily basis (life/strength/sight/breath etc et etc) I CAN'T AFFORD NOT TO TITHE. And I may not have the little extra things I want, but my NEEDS are met. So it works out.

P.S. Without realizing it until this year, II have discovered that I been sowing seeds my whole life, so I am expecting my bountiful harvest soon. Then I will be WILLING AND ABLE to bless those who need it, not just want it PLUS take care of me. And that's for REAL!!!

I praise your name Father God. Thank you Jesus!

Not relying in prayer ENOUGH on my God, But as I have learned he is a forgiving God, I am my worst enemy I hate failing him and not giving enough Praise to him, So as a slave I continue to try and put fort great effort once again, But I would be a better Christian If I would stay focus and Endure Under my so many Trails and Tribulations of Life and Pray for the Power beyond what is normal then and only then will I be to self what I wish/want to be to my God, Thanks for asking, I really need to go and Pray to him @ this very moment.

I need to quit being such a whiny loser. When put to the test, I failed utterly and completely. Now I'm just kind of wallowing in my own self-pity, saying I don't want forgiveness, that's for people better than me. I just need to snap out of it I think.

My biggest failing would be my trust issues as well as my ability to be rather stubborn or slow, lol, if I could learn to trust myself and others more then maybe I could do more to help make things better for myself and others. : /

I would feel I am a stronger atheist if I did not humor my parents by celebrating Christmas and Easter.

spirituality is individual so basing it on a particular religion is not spiritual, it is relgious.

however, i do not believe i would fit into any religion because i like solid proof, not ancient philosophy.

Remembrance. ... and practicing the presence of God. If we could all do this constantly, the other "failings" would fall away.

I lack trust in others and sometimes God. I am too skeptical and closed down.
