Im very addicted to cocaine and herroine Im 28 years old and I live with my parents I feel like a loser and I know Im an a**hole when I steal my moms pain medicine to get a high..But When I need the drugs I will serously do whatever it takes to get them...Even if it means stealing from people I love...I have been In and out of rehab and I cant control it...What do you do when treatment doesnt help?

You have taken the first step by admitting you are an addict, but I am not telling you nothing you don't already know. You say you have been in and out of rehab!! I hate to give you a big dose of tough love, sweetie, but you have not hit bottom yet!!!! Your parents need to kick your butt out, especially if you steal from them and whoever else you are taking from. I have a brother who also had to hit bottom before he could climb out and I was his major enabler!! Your treatment doesn't work, because YOU do not want it to work. Grow up and take some resposibility for YOU!!! Quit blaming this crap on everyone else!!! Go look in the mirror baby, and you will see who is responsible for this situation, accept it and take some action. Only YOU can make this decision!! Now, get off your winey butt and do something for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I had a "friend" like you...not anymore...once burned, twice a fool. Treatment does help only when YOU decide to make the effort. I'm not trying to make light of the struggle and most I've been addicted to is cigarettes but you know, everyday, one day at a time you must want it. If you truly love the drugs above all ( and my "Friend" does) then go away. Why is it that some people are able to disappear so well that absolutely no one can find them and others of you just can't get out your life? Cut you parents and everyone else in your life a break...for once think of someone besides yourself. God Bless.

Hey man/women ... Stay positive, just take a moment sit down by yourself and think about what you are doing. Make something of your life right at that moment. It takes alot to admit to yourself that you are a loser and an a$$hole, it just means you haven't lost it yet and you still have a grasp on reality. Also Good luck...

You need to be in a place that you can not get out for at lease a year. They you have to work and live with people that can handle you.

You need to work the programs. They are designed to help you. It wouldn't hurt to find religion either. It would help you deal with your guilt as well as build up some much needed self-esteem. You are more than likely not a bad person...just a person who has done bad things. Seek help and stick with it.
