We have for sale at our Church The Catechism of the Catholic Church, and then the American Catholic Catechism. I am wondering what is the difference?

The American Catholic Catechism is the Catechism of the Catholic Church, only it has been adapted to relate specifically to American culture, and how to apply Catholic principles therein.

It's intended users are Catholic educators and RCIA instructors, though anyone is free to purchase a copy for themselves and is sure to benfit from the teachings it offers.

Catholicism and Roman Catholicism are separate (also Eastern Orthodox Church). Not all Catholics are associated with the Vatican and its doctrine, just like there are many branches of Protestantism
