I don't believe in neither, and they sound exactly the same to me...but according to Christian beliefs (if I am correct) the first is a gift from God and the latter is considered as worshipping the Devil.

It's about timing and money. Nostradamus was considered a heretic in his time. Now we refer to the "prophecies of Nostradamus." My guess is that he didn't pay his tithing to the church in his day.

Jesus was the most gifted psychic the earth has ever known. He talked to the dead, caused miracles, and saw into the future. So, I would say to believe in prophecy would be to believe in psychics as well. I don't see why modern Christianity has such a problem with psychics when the belief in prophecy (psychic phenomena) was there....it's just they believe in the psychics of long ago past and not the supposed psychics of today. It seems double talk to me........and I'm Christian.

A side note, here, you'll find Christians say the propehts work came from God and the other's claim it for themselves. If we lived in Jesus day, you'd have the same thing said. And, you'd have those that believed it was from God. It still the same thing, different century.

The gift of Prophecy is what God has prophesied or a gift from Him. Has nothing to do with being psychic. Being psychic is beliving that someone can read your thoughts or tell the future. Has nothing to do with God or the devil.

The spiritual gift of prophecy is a supernatural manifestation of the Spirit of God giving supernatural utterance , like tongues but in the speakers own language,

Being Psychic some try to communicate with the dead , have seances , fortune telling and that yes is work of witchcraft.

they aren't the same. prophecy is more religoius side than psychic.
In fact, many religions think psychics are evil becauase they are communication with the devil to get their messages.
But strangely enough, prophecy is not the same. but prophesy is usually assigned to a person long after the even has occurred. very rarely is it thought to be a prophecy. More of a tall tale of a dream.

instinct is a feeling it particularly is gained by using adventure. Your strategies, even however you do no longer are attentive to it, is continually analyzing your ecosystem, subconsciously determining on up on issues on your ecosystem. once you "experience" such as you're in a bad subject, this is while you evaluate that's the tip that your subconscious has reached. once you get a "undesirable feeling" approximately somebody, this is by way of fact your strategies is silently analyzing very very nearly imperceptible indicators. till you're an fool, you will desire to take heed to on your instinct. Prophecy is bunk. Psychics play strategies video games.

They're both the same thing. Being psychic is having the gift of prophesy (from God) but using it in ways that does not glorify God. Anything that does not glorify God glorifies the devil, so that's how it's called devil worship.

In my experience, the people who people from a church tends to believe speaks from "the gift of prophecy" are the popular ones who can afford to tithe thousands of dollars to the church each month.
Anyone else who claims to recieve messages from spiritual sources are considered dealing with the devil.

prophets are messengers from God, when God has them speak, not only speaking of the future, but of the present too. Psychics use thier own will to tune into supernatural (demonic) powers to tell the 'future'. Assuming demons are evil, psychics can use that to instill fear of your future if you believe them... which is basically faith in all the wrong places. Many people in Jesus' day called him a demon because he did all those things that modern psychics can do, but everything he did was God's will, not his own. Including that painful death he endured.. Somewhere in the bible it says that God's will is to heal, forgive, make us prosper... good stuff, like what jesus did. Jesus only fortold his own future; his death, and his second coming. All Christian have thier opinions but God's word always stays the same.

Which, by the way, is really nice to know.

I do not really know but I would guess that the gift of prophesy entails looking into the future toward things to come. Psychics usually use their gift to go back to the past. It usually has to do with spirits of the past and that is a nono in the bible. You are not supposed to look to the dead but to the living.

You are close. Christians believe that the gift of prophecy is a gift from God, and psychis are evil people who work with witchcraft and Satanic, or Pegan, Gods.
