What is the fastest way to loose 8-10 pounds? I want to loose at least 8 pounds in less then 1 month is it possible and if so how?

Yes it is. Start right now on the Atkins diet which is high protein and low carbs. If you get the book from the library and stick with it (meaning only eat what is allowed) you will loose 2 lbs a week. It takes about 4 days for ketosis to kick in and then your body starts dumping fat.

This is not a good, long term solution. You need carbs especially if you are active. However, for a short time like you are talking it can get you started. After than you'll need to eat a balanced diet, moderate amounts, and get lots of exercise.

I've tried various diets and the fastest way to lose a large amount of weight in a very short time is through the Atkins diet. Here you eat only protein and fats - meat,fish,chicken, nuts, high fat cheeses. No carbohydrates! no potatoes, rice, breads, pastas, fruit. As a rule of thumb if you don't know if a food is allowed or not, check the info at the side and if there is 3g of carbs or less per 100g then it's ok. I cheated and had a fruit every so often. The closer you follow the diet the more you will lose. In one week I lost over 12lbs!

Please keep in mind that this is a very unbalanced diet and even though many say otherwise is not recommended for long periods of time. High fat and cholesterol might help you lose weight but will cause damage in the long run. So don't do this for more than 1-2 weeks. Also a troubling side effect is that it makes you quite grumpy and moody. Must be the lack of sugars. This is normal. If, however, you find yourself becoming homocidal, I would suggest trying another approach :).

Become a catcher in softball.. In one game of full-time playing, I lost 4 pounds in sweat.. In one game. I lost around 15 pounds by the end of the season.

But if you don't wanna try that..

Run, everyday with a hoddie on. Running three miles a day (Or Jogging half an hour) You loose at least, one pound in sweat. Whenever you feel like eating something unhealthy, turn to a carrot. For snacks, eat hard boiled eggs. Try not to eat too much bread carb, bananas are a natural carb that burn better. Drink lots of water to flush out your system, and you loose weight by drinking water. Eat proteins and calciums. Good luck, adn don't get too stressed about loosing weight.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

it is possible. strive to lose 2lbs a week (which is actually pretty healthy) by exercising and watching what you eat. The main idea is to burn up more calories than you take in. Drink lots and lots of water, and don't eat white bread. No chips no pop, nothing like that.

you could try the Hollywood diet/48 hr diet. buy a bottle at the drugstore and follow directions. My friend lost @ 9lbs and I lost about 3. She was a little heavier than me.

But what really worked for me was. no white sugar, whole grain foods and natural raised meats.
