I am amazed at how many CHILDREN are actually allowed to be here by their parents. This is pitiful.

Oh come on, I just read a question from an idiot asking to drink someone's menstrual blood. How is that NOT bad for a 13 year old? How is that NOT bad for a 34 year old for that matter?

apparently some parents do not know because some of these kids are pretty young and the questions they ask are devastating

You know, I think that it depends on the question. My son hasn't felt the need to surf the internet yet, thank God.
I've seen kids on here asking for ideas about birthday parties, and things that a kid SHOULD be asking, where I've also seen kids (young kids) ask if it's okay to have sex at ten.
I think that all internet usage should be monitored by a parent, REGARDLESS of what site the child is using. In order to keep control of your children, you HAVE to monitor their social lives, even if it IS partially on the internet.

My children are a little younger, 9 and 11 and I would never allow them to come on here. I am surprised at how many kids are on here too, not a good place for children.

AMAN!! It is crazy how many young people are on the internet. I mean Yahoo Answers is probally the safest place for them to go in a sence but my little boy is not allowed on any site of this sort at all!!
I have it set up where I choose what sites he can go to and he is 11!

neither of my children are allowed on the Internet. PERIOD!
they have CD/ROM games, that's it.
i told them they can play around on the computer when they are all grown up and moved out of my house, and buy their own.
my parents told me the same thing, and I'm glad. there are just too many perverts in this world. I'd rather be over protective of that, than negligent!
they will grow up soon enough. but at 8 and 10, (and my daughter is only 9 months)...they'll be fine with out it.

I'm not a parent yet, but I know any of my future children under 16 WILL be monitored on the internet. ESPECIALLY If they are using message boards.... Kids think they know it all and are so easily influenced by these boards. I totally agree!

I already know all about that kinda stuff!!! My parents don't really care but they do monitor me when I am on sometimes!! Dude it's not like kids these days don't already know, it's called the internet and school!!

Im 14 and yahoo answers isnt unsafe in any way as long as you use it correctly. So why not? Parents worry to much
