Hello my friend I am a golf expert and have your answer. Open The clubface. No really The hook has many causes assuming you have a good setup the core cause of the hook could be related
to swing path. If you constantly pull or hook the ball you are coming from the outside to cure this take a box or head cover and put it on the outside of the ball. This mentally and to some degree physically makes you have a better approach. Another cause is lack of weight transfer if to much weight is on your back foot on your follow through your hands become over active and you hook. Having active hands is a Good thing as long as your body is firing through in sync. A hook is sign of good hands. Your grip may be a cause but is unlikely having a grip that is to strong right hand to far under actually inhibits release if your grip is comfterable and solid both fairly equal then your grip isn't the cause.
If your stance is to closed your swing might get to flat this causes duck hook at the extreme but I have hit many good shots with a closed stance so this probably isn't your cause either.

Hello Dox

You are more then likely set up completely for a hook and so thats what you do.

These are the symptoms....

strong grip, hands turned to far right
closed stance and shoulders
closed clubface
rolling the forearms over in the forward swing

Now what do you do to correct that......

square your stance to the target
grip the club with the Vs formed pointing at your chin
square up the club face
try to keep the club head low to the ground as long as you can in the forward swing

Currently you are closing the club face down and swinging to much in to out and creating counter clockwise spin on the ball.

Square up everything and try to swing the club straight back and let it flow forward. Try to eliminate the hitting the ball impulse and simply swing through as though it were a practice swing.

This will work after hitting just a few balls. Give it a chance.

it's a little complicated without actually seeing your swing, but... you may be coming over the top, you may be hitting the ball on the toe of the club every time ot you might be swinging with only your arms. I guess...try opening your stance. that is, move your front foot back a couple of inches. if that doesn't work, stand a bit closer to the ball. other than that, it's hard to say when I can't see what you are doing.

when i hook, it is because in my downswing, the club gets behind me and the only way to get it where it should be is to 'cast' the club. that is, i fling the clubhead closed with my wrists, making the ball take off right and come back left very quickly. go see a pro.

very common problem with a hook is your grip. right at the moment of impact your right hand rolls over and provides the hook.(left hand if youre left handed.) have someone look at your grip.
