my husband is a permanent resident of the us and would like to sponsor me, i would like to know how long does it take to sponsor a guyanese spouse if you are a us permanent resident

If he's a permanent resident your wait is going to be about four and a half to five years.

It can take 6-12 months after you have filed the visa paperwork with the INS(USCIS). I can not recall how long this is valid( maybe 9-12 months) Just go to this site: http://www.uscis.gov/
You should be able to find all of the information you need there.

I would think that marriage is a pretty good way of saying that you are ALREADY sponsored.
