I've had once or twice, it's one scary sensation you wake up, some body's in the room! you cant move, wow.

i wouldn't like to get it regularly. heres information on it

You may be able to minimize the episodes by following good sleep hygiene:
*Getting enough sleep
*Reduce stress
*Exercise regularly (but not too close to bedtime)
*Keep a regular sleep schedule

I was going to give a respectful answer until I read your stupid comment, "You leave anything but a proper anwser you get reported as abuse!!!!!!!!!!!!". Then I decided that if I'm being questioned by a moron, they'd receive a moronic reply.

(I do suffer with sleep paralysis, by the way.)

Wow, I had the same thing a few months back, its scary, your awake but you have no control, you want to move but you can't it's like your outside yourself, it;s crazy, I thought i was crazy or possessed. Anyway it's most likely because your under some kind of stress or you are worried about something, when this happened to me I was having a lot of worries about my health, things were going on with me. I went to the Dr and did some research on the web. My best advise is try not to worry if that's the issue your having, stress can do screwed up s h i t to ya. If it's not a stress or worry issue you have to try to find the reason why, there is something subconsciously happening. I hope this is some help to you and good luck, your not alone, let me know ok

Astral Travel: I was reading Beezlebub's book because I wanted to learn about astral traveling. It seems that when people go to sleep, we travel each night. Problem is, most people forget their dreams soon upon awakening. When you awaken suddenly, sometimes you aren't all there yet. (Sorry I can't explain it better). Yes, it's been described as a frightening experience by some people. When it happened to me I found it bothersome but at the time, didn't know what caused that to happen.

I have not been able to instigate the astral travel experience at will yet.

Sure thing, i often wake up and cant move my whole body, my head may be in my pillow and i find it hard to breathe! Quite frightening actually, takes a while for it all to ware off too. Its worse of you try and come out of it, because it seems to stay longer. I guess its because you panic or somemthing and your muscles stay all tensed up.

I get it at least every other nite, and then i find it happens most very early morning, and once i wake up with it, each time i drift back off and wake up its there again! Pain in the anus really!! But meh...

mostly everyone does. it's what prevents us from walking out into the middle of the street or swinging our arms while we're dreaming.

because dream sleep (REM) is the part of sleep cycle closest to consciousness, it's sometimes easy for our mind to awaken, while our body is still paralyzed.
