I am currently 15 years old and I am a sophomore in high school. I was wondering what the normal age to start dating is. Even though I've been on a couple Homecoming dates, I've never really had a girlfriend.

So I guess I just want to know what the normal age to start dating is.

To be completely honest with you, there is no "normal" dating age. However, society and most parents would say, 18 is the appropriate age. You are completely normal, if you are not dating. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. If you feel you should be dating because others are, don't worry, your time will come very soon. Dating is a great experience and comes with a lot of different emotions. But dating can also be a terrible experience too, it can bring pain of confusion and hurt. Don't rush it.
I am so sure there a lot of girls out there thinking the same way as you and I so sure a lot are looking at "you" as the potential person to date. but everyone will experience this event when they are good and ready or if the situation presents itself.
You will know when the time is right.
Good luck. And remember, enjoy your life because it goes so much quicker then you ever expected it to go.

A person's perception changes with age. Your thinking now may change a few years later. So don't rush things and find a date now. You may not have the freedom to meet more new friends if your date is very possessive. So for your age now, it is advisable to make as many friends as possible and enjoy going out with them. Maybe along the way, you may meet your girlfriend among your huge circle of friends then. Good luck!

There is no "normal" dating age. I'm rally immature, so I didn't start till i was 18. But by then, I had my own car, and I got laid all the time! So it all works out in the end. Take your time

In my opinion, 16 or 17 years old. When you are old enough to obtain employment and make money in order to take someone out on a date. Good luck and God bless****

When you are ready to date depends on you personally. Try talking to your parents about it. In the end you have to decide what's best for you.

16-18...some younger and some later. there is no one number thats right for everyone. when you are truly ready it will happen.

you're just feeling pressured by other guys and there tales, which are usually about 75% lies anyways.

16 seems to be the norm for one-on-one dates.
