He likes to play with paper towel rolls and it ticks me right off when he tears them up (as you can imagine)

Anyone know a good Cat toy that will satisfy his need to tear up my paper towels?

He doesn't get the rolls on the counter - only the ones that get left in the floor when I'm windex-ing or something.

I know they are available, because we have one. It is a neck pillow that is round and shaped like a cylinder. Mainly used by men who like recliners and need something to prop up their heads to see the TV. LOL

Ours has a zipper cover, so that it can be laundered. Get yourself one of those and put some loose catnip inside of the cover. It will be shaped like a roll of paper towels...a shape he already likes...and there will be the catnip buzz to boot. A very merry Christmas present.

I would suggest just giving your cat a single square of paper towel to play with every so often. My cats do the same thing so I have resigned myself to just giving them some. Also, I would suggest that when the roll gets near the end, give it to him since there is not much left. Make sure he is in an open area playing with it so that you can vacuum it all up easily.

i bought my kitten a stuffed dog toy that is almost as big as her. she is able to roll around with it as she would the paper towels. it keeps her away from the paper towels because she can actually move the toy around. or, i will tear off a piece of the paper towel and tie it in a knot and let her go nuts with it!!

I really like lovemycat's suggestion - very creative.

I recently brought a rescue cat, fourteen years old, into my home. He EATS PAPER! I have had to get special folders from the drug store to put my papers in. I don't think the utility company will accept "the dog ate my homework" excuse if they don't get payment of their bill. Right now Alexander is tearing into a paper napkin I have here on the desk.

Paper towel rolls! Get him his very own package of paper towel rolls, but make sure that he doesn't sort them out all over the floor!

I have no idea but can't wait to find out cuz my cats do the same thing. They also love to play w/the rings that come off the gallon milk jugs when you take the lid off.Cheap toy and they love them better than the store bought ones.

well, you could get some paper towels...LOL unless its a hassle to clean up, other wise a new toy, some yummy treat, things to interest him will always work. do you have a scratching post for him?? if not then the above may work. hope i helped!!
