What do I do to get a girlfriend besides, 'the approach'?

Don't just get a girlfriend because everybody else has one. Girls aren't your "arm candy" or anything like that. You have to treat the girl with respect. If there's one girl you like in particular then just strike up conversations with her about something that you both have in common, whether its sports or school, just find something to talk about. If she's been a friend for a while then just talk to her like you normally do but try and pay more attention on her. If you think she likes you a little then try asking if she wants to go to the movies or something. If you feel uncomfortable in that situation then make it a group date. Don't rush into a relationship that will only last a couple weeks. Make sure it's a girl that you like and your not just using her just to say you have a girlfriend.
