I am 29 m and around college I started getting really introverted when before I was cool, confident, no problems with girls. Now I avoid almost all social contact. I can been witty and fun at times, but for the most part I have totally shut down. I don't even return calls or emails anymore.

I know part of it is depression and I have been struggling with that for a few years. I am medicated. But I am wondering if anyone can relate. Or has been through to the other side. I'd like to be an interesting, dynamic person again, one day.

Actually, I go through that myself, but I don't know if my experience relates to yours because it lacks any sort of depression. I've always felt confident and positive about myself, it's just that sometimes I feel outgoing, and other times I prefer solitude and am reserved. Though they're opposites, I gravitate towards each at different times - it's just who I am. Nothing wrong with that!

Yes. I know exactly what you are talking about. I ruminate about it over and over every day. I am struggling myself. I try to break free from the shy, unconfident person I seem to have become. Ugh. Good luck to both of us!
