What a negative way to look at life and marriage. From #6 down, doesn't have to happen, except for old age and death of course. Some couples, like my wife and I don't have children & we aren't going to. Also, if you both work at your relationship every day, there won't be burn out or separation or divorce. That's why I think so many marriages end up in divorce, because the 2 people involved aren't willing to work at keeping it going through the good and bad times. The commitment isn't there. It is possible to have a great marriage and be happy together for life. My in laws were married for 55 yrs until my father in law passed away. It's the kind of marriage I plan on having and feel like I do. As far as old age & disease, my Mother in law just turned 84 yrs old and still works full time, 6 days a week and is extremely healthy. Try to be more positive about life...you'll have a better, longer life if you are more optimistic.

Heehee I don't know if you're looking for a serious answer here, but that looks like the way MANY relationships go, give or take a few steps (6, 10)....
