She is only about 7 weeks old, all black. She's a bombay breed. Very energetic and curious, just as all kittens are. Any good ideas?

When I saw Bombay, I thought of the tv show Bewitched. Dr. Bombay was a character on the show.

It always takes me forever to name my cats. I prefer human names instead of traditional cat names (snowball, fluffy, etc). I use names that I love, but would never actually name a child ;) I have a cat named Piper Jane (Pippa), another named Caspian James (Caspie) and also a Romeo Alexander (Romee).

I usually make a list of names I like and sit down and "try" them on the kitten by calling to him/her with that name and see how I feel about it.

I wanted to name one of our cats Aries, but my husband wasn't partial to it ;) Here's some other names I liked, but we couldn't agree on:

Thalia (Tallie for short)
Darcy
Stella
Kitka
Wren
Rinni (it means "little bunny" in Japanese)

I'm sure you'll find the right name =)

I usually have a cat for a week or so before I name it.I base the name on its personality.Ours got his claw caught in the string for our living room blinds and began swinging back and forth, so we named him Tarzan, because that is who he looked like swinging like he was.
I have had black cats named
Sambo
Midnight
Good luck with your search
