Start running, it's the best way to burn fat. 30 pounds in 3 months is quite a task if you want to lose the weight and stay healthy. Make yourself a good workout routine that you stick to and try to cut down on the excess calories. You will need good self-discipline to stick with it. Don't be disappointed if you do not reach this goal. Be comfortable with your body.

Only drink water. Eat 5 small meals a day. Exercise 3-5 days a week, make sure you do some running/jogging for more that 20 minutes. Don't think of this as a punishment, but a victory in the making. 10 pounds a month isn't that hard. Or 2.5 pounds a week or 1.25 pounds every 3 1/2 days, or .625 pounds every 1.75 days or .3125 pounds in .875 days.

Losing 30 lbs in 3 months would be unhealthy, and you're likely to gain it all back + more!!!
Do your best to cut calories, eat HEALTHY calories (veggies, fruit, low-fat, low-sugar, chicken, fish, fibre, substitute artificial sweeteners and milk for sugar and cream, etc.), and even more importantly, EXERCISE, 30 mins of cardio / day, most days of the week (just get your heart rate up and break a sweat) :)

If they're your family, they will love you no matter what you look like / what kind of shape you're in. Try to enjoy your time with them rather than worry about how you look (probably the thing they could care least about! They just want to know you're happy). :)

don't drink soda. exercise. eat healthy. eat veggies. don't check the scale everyday. don't eat candy. love yourself for who you are and just remember that losing the weight will keep you alive. 30 pounds could mean a heart problem.
