Okay my bed spread is light pink with black polka dots... I am going to paint the walls but I don't know what to do! I don't want just plain walls, I don't want dots all over my walls, and strips just don't go with my room! Does anyone have a creative idea I could do? Or just any plain idea?

When decorating a room, you want to have 3 colors in a room. One main color (example: a wall color), a secondary color (in your case - the pink in the bedding, pillows, etc.) and an accent color (black - even thought black is not really a color).

For the walls, I would add wallpaper. Wallpaper adds sooooo much texture to a room. Or paper one wall and paint the rest if you are afraid of paper. A good wallpaper will come down easy in the future if you change your mind. I would go with a paper that has some kind of curve or a muted circle in the design to go with the circles in the bedding.

Maybe try picking another pale color for the walls. Pale pink will go with any other pale color with in the same tones. For a bedroom I would not go with yellow. It's not a restful color for sleeping. Also bring that wall color down to a pillow on the bed to help bring it to another spot in the room.

Use the pink in your bedding to go on the window treatments and pillows, and if there is a chair in your room make it pink (either on the cushion or a pillow on the chair)

Then the black use on a vase or in the base of the lamp. But use sparingly. Black is a good thing to have in a room. With all of the colors in the world, black will help rest the eyes.

go with a lighter or deeper shade from your spread, add a wallpaper border to accent they make a nice one with black musical notes you can either run it along the ceiling line or center wall, or any border that accents your chosen colors

HOW ABOUT GETTING ONE OF THOSE WALL PAPER BORDERS THAT WILL COMPLIMENT YOUR PINK SPREAD. YOU CAN PUT IT UP ALONG THE WALL JUST BELOW THE CEILING OR HALF WAY UP. YOU COULD EVEN PAING THE TOP HALF OF THE ROOM A DIFFERENT SHADE, THEN PUT THE BORDER UP..GOOD LUCK

PAINT YOUR ROOM IN A WAINSCOAT EFFECT. DARKER COLOR LOWER AND LIGHTER COLOR ON UPPER. PAINT THE UPPER FIRST TO WITHIN 3FT OF FLOOR, POP A STRAIGHT LINE JUST OF THE EDGE OF LIGHTER COLOR. INSTALL EDGE TAPE AND PAINT THE LOWER SECTION. U MAY ALSO USE WALLPER BORDER TO SEPERATE THE TWO COLORS. GOOD LUCK
