my dog had this as well. We had to give him some eye drops and ointment called chlorphenenamine or something similar. We got a prescription from the vet but you can buy it over the counter too. Its an antibiotic so will address any infection. But only a vet can know if there are any scratches or injury to the eye. When they test they put some special drops in that turn the eyes green and then shine a light in. Its very funny as your dog will have halloween eyes for a day or so and everyone will stop you in the street!
Good luck!

There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Read more here https://biturl.im/aU7U8

The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don't achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren't putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.

The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.

Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.

Take to the vet...probably needs drops...
Don't delay as losing an eye can cause blindness in the other.
And you want to fix this before you lose any eye at all.

Try rinsing as you would a human eye with cold water??? He may have something in it, but use caution...Don't want to make it worse. See a vet ASAP!

I suspect this is ok - but no expert. Try rinsing the eye with contact lense saline. The rinse, not the cleaner - perfectly ok for a human eye and I keep some by now even though no longer needed for my lenses.

I've used this before when I aggravated my eye. Thing is - you don't want to poke it with cotton wool or buds because the last thing you want is to make it 'gritty'. See a vet ASAP and if then is an infection they can provide drops and antiseptic drops!

hi, it sounds like your dog has conjunctivitis, you will need to take him to the vets for some antibiotic cream or drops. Bath them with warm water which has previously boiled and cooled down. Once you start the drops it will clear up in a couple of days. Remember when you bath his eyes to use a clean/new cotton wool ball or you will pass it to the other eye.

He may have just a cold in the eye,,,,try cold tea. If it persists then it could be infected. Can buy an eye ointment in the pet shop but only use it for a few days then the vets are a must.

Just reiterating what others have said, this needs a Vets attention as soon as possible, eyesight is too precious to ignore, the diagnosis is usually very quick and inexpensive, may well just need some sort of eyedrops ...

take it to the vet as soon as possible. my dog started with the same thing about a year ago. We just thought it was allergies but it ended up being glaucoma (as the vet finally told us) She is totally blind now. If you can catch something early on, it's best.
