You have to make sure that you're getting enough calories in the day or you won't have the energy and strength to work out. The longer you workout the stronger you will get. If this persists, see a doctor. You can also ask a Physical Fitness instructor at school for advice.

Don't know what kind of ginseng you are taking, but the real stuff is not cheap, and is really not for bulking up.your muscles. They are more for sick people who are in need of nutrition boost. As for doing push-ups everyday, I won't recommend it. When you push your body beyond what it is normally used to, it breaks down a little bit, you need to give your muscles a chance to relax and to recover. It is much better to do more push-ups every other day instead of pushing your body every day.

It is also a good idea to jog or just plan running around a little bit to loosen up your muscles right after a workout. I can consistantly do more than 2 dozens push-ups and sit-ups 3 times a week without problems even though I am approaching 30, since I also jog 3 miles afterwards. I also tried to keep the routine of swimming 20 laps 3 times a week as welll. A variety of exercizes throughout the week can't be wrong. Good Luck.

B/c you are not in shape and you have no endurence. Theres alot more to getting in shape than doing some push up and crunches. BTW 99% of the fitness info you will get from people is absolutley wrong. ie drink more water.. drink protien shakes.. It can be dangerous so be careful of what you believe. I suggest a book called "Body for Life" if you are interested in fitness. It will steer you in the right direction.

no pain no gain one would say. watch what you eat, believe it or not your stomach waste energy digesting your food, so hypothetically speaking, an hour or two before a work out, instead of eating a donut, eat a bagel. don't take ginseng, are you sexually active? even if you are you are young, you got stamina. watch your diet you should be good.

could be due to fatigue maybe take a few days off and rest, then do your workout every other day instead of everyday, your muscles need time to rebuild, and remember to eat right and get enough rest.

Have you ever been taught the proper way to breathe while exercising? That can make a HUGE difference. Talk to a trainer and see if s/he can show you how to do it correctly.

My workouts got a lot easier when I started drinking more water.
Talk to a doctor if you are concerned.

This is due to the fact that you are weak!

eat more - keep up the exercise - get rest - keep going
