My wife wants to name our sons Grass and Spinach. We are having twin boys- December 22. I think the boys would be teased in school with names like those!

I totally think they would be teased in school. I really honestly do. I love unusual names, but those are a bit much. I hope you're kidding about this. If not, I think I would seriously talk to your wife about the whole name thing & tell her that you both have to agree upon names for the twins & you're not comfortable with those names. Good luck~

I think you are right. They will be teased. You have to think about that when you have kids. My boys have regular names but their meanings are very special to me. You don't have to have an unusual name to be remembered. I've read that boy's names can influence their self- esteem so pick carefully. My husband and I picked out ten names and negotiated from there on. You could suggest that you pick the boys names and she can pick out any girl names when or if you ever have any girls.

Um, yea, ya think (they would be teased)??? Is she expecting baby Marsions? Just kidding, and a lot of people like to come up with original unique names, but wow!

Is she by chance on medication..or maybe not taking her medicine cause shes preggy??

having an unusual name myself i can tell you i was picked on terribly, and hate my father for giving me my real name...and i6t's not a vegtable name either, lol.

I'll guess she has a really common one, like Beth or Sarah or something, and hasn'r had a taste of the name calling.

Please think about this!

yeah i'm a teen and sadly we live in a society where people make fun of different people! and i'm pretty sure that with those names they say "if u guys are Grass and Spinach then that mkes ur parentrs a salad" or something like that. dont name them somthing common but nothing to wierd!!!

hey when they're born plz tell us what did u name them!

Those names are terrible but don't tell your wife that....she has hormones raging through her body not to mention that she is probably sick of being pregnant....quite possibly she is not getting enough folic acids....or veggies in general so she has greens on the brain....you don't have to name them right away....why not have a few options ready for her for AFTER the children are born...she might be less inclined to name them such...well ridiculous names....OR she's testing you to see if you'll just agree to anything because she's pregnant and quite out of control with her demands.....hmmmm

O yeah.
If i had friends in school named that. I would tease them like hell.

I always thought the names Tyler and Tanner are good twin names

Wow, those are bad! Sounds like your wife is having some 3rd trimester delusions. Simply tell her you don't like the names, and try to agree on something else. Remember- you'll be the one filling out the papers for the birth certificate while she's in labor.

Well, naming your child is a huge step. Just sit down with eachother and talk about what you wanted to name your kids, and what she wanted to name her kids. Yes, those names are a little... odd, but just try to come up with a name that is less... green
