what are some things he might say or do? there's this guy at school and i can't tell if he likes me or not. once he touched my hair, and today he complimented my outfit, i'm not sure if he was serious or not, but sometimes he'll jokingly yell at me to do my work. could that mean anything, or could he just be being himself?

I think your guy might just be shy. It sounds like he DOES like you, after all, how many compliments did you get on your outfit? shows at least he's looking fondly in your direction. Also, to jokingly yell at you,shows he may have a sarcastic sense of humor, and judging from the other answers you've received here, that's not at all rare. I say ask him out! If you'd like to , and If he says no, so be it. You wont melt, anyways, is a huge compliment to be asked out. GOOD LUCK

If he is complimenting you, that is definitely a posative sign. If he is joking with you, he obviously feels comfortable with you and your sense of humor. He also seems to like to be around you, which is good. Sounds very much like he likes something about you. Try joking back and talking to him and see where it takes you.

I think he likes you. It's sounds like guy flirting to me. Iif he does this to everyone then maybe it's just him, but if not and if you have the courage to ask him out then go ahead! but if you don't, then maybe you should wait and flirt casually back. it doesn't seem like he's a shy guy, so he might ask you out sooner or later if you show signs of liking him. i hope it goes well!

Get up into his face, and get your face close to his, and look into his eyes. If he looks into your eyes, and especially if his eyes are trying to look at both your eyes (switching back and forth between eyes, easiest sign to notice) then you know he likes you. Besides, there's absolutely nothing more intimate and erotic than that, when a girl gets close to me like that and looks into my eyes and whispers into my ear and touches me (even if it's just a little)
