Not trying to be mean, but HS -College relationships last about maybe a year...
College is a big change.....your freedom is still limited....he can go and come as he pleases.....will meet other girls that are available on a moments notice. But, he're is the good news. If you talk it out and establish where your relationship is now and what you might want to see develop. but, remembering that education is the goal of going to college....so you don't want to get in the way of that....you're not breaking up just dialing back a bit....until you get to the same school......you are planning to got to the same school? If not, then its not likely to last at all.

If your boyfriend is leaving for college, you should give him a long kiss goodbye and not expect much in the future. College offers hundreds of woman that are looking for men. He will have a hard time remembering his highschool sweetheart with mature and successful woman surrounding him. Sorry, the truth hurts.

We had the reverse roles, my girl was a sr and I was a sophmore, she went away to college and we hooked up again after. Your better off letting them go and then if your feelings are real for each other, you will come back together later.
Good luck!

well, i am familiar with your situation. my g/f from HS and i go to different schools, a hundred miles apart. we had been dating for about 5 months when we went to school. if you feel that the relationship is real, then just know that he will come back and that you can email, and call, write letters, or whatever to stay in contact. I recommend a webcam for an Instant Messenger program. that's what me and my g/f do. just know that you care about him and that he cares about you, and that's what really matters. you will be fine, as long as he is as committed as you.

I've always thought about this question myself (for my Girlfriend of course!). Put yourself in his shoe, if you were going off to college you would want to go CRAZY!! I know you dont want to hear this but you have to leave him so he can enjoy his time in college and if he really loves you then he will come back.

This is not what you want to hear....
When he gets to college, it will be a whole new world for him. High school will seem very far away...and so will you.
Be ready to let him go.

i would just stay with him and just go with the flow. if its meant to work it will if its not it won't. if you guys really love each other you won't let distance tear you apart. its not easy, but nothing worth having ever is.
