Ok, I just got my drivers license in April. My dad bought me an 86 Mustang for $500. first we got a new battery for $40 then replaced the brakes for $150 then replaced all the tires for about $100 then replaced the valve cover gasket for $100 then got a new exhaust system for $100 then got all new spark plugs, spark plug wires and a new distributor for about $140. It cost $100 to register and $50 a month for liability insurance. Whew!
I'm a two-car man. Last month I bought a 92 Cavalier for $60. S-I-X-T-Y. I paid $27 to register it and $30 a month to insure it. I haven't done any repairs to it. Am I the only one who sees irony in this?

Too funny. What does that tell you about F-O-R-D! Fix Or Repair Daily. Now look at it this way - it is now in better shape then when you bought it. Turn it into a profit. Sell it!!!!!!!!!!

I can for sure see the irony in this & it happens. You just never know what you are getting for your money. Sometimes it works out for the better and sometimes it doesn't. Congrads on getting such a good deal on the Cavalier.

No irony here. Just common knowledge that Chevys are superior to Fords any day.

May be you should just buy a good used car, because you are paying about the same price.
