something big enough to get into her pants. of course, that was the jerk answer, and, assuming that you're getting married, you either have gotten in them, or will soon, and so i would suggest something nice, but subtle as opposed to gaudy. think like maybe a carat or something, a nice size, and something that she likes, without being too extravagant.

My engagement ring is actually 1/2 carat, and it looks like 3 large stones when it is actually 21 tiny diamonds. It sparkles like nothing else and I love it. For my wedding band I want a plain high quality white gold band that will just accent my engagement ring even more. I think as long as your lady loves it, it doesn't matter how big the stones are!

Personally, I'd rather have small, high-quality sparkly diamonds than diamonds that are big, but dull.
I also think anything larger than about a carat starts to be too much. That's just me.
I've seen a three carat medium quality ring that you barely noticed the woman's hand. I've also seen a very high quality .75 carat ring that you could see across the room!
If you're talking about a band to go along with an engagement ring, I'd say a skinny row of tiny diamonds looks nicest.

Go with a stone that fits her and her body size. A small stone for a tall woman with big hands looks even smaller and vice versa.

Whatever you would like to give her or can afford. If she loves you, she wouldn't care what size stone you gave her in her ring!

the size does not matter as much as the meaning behind it buy something you can afford I'm sure she will love it all the same

well most women are all about the bling....but usually you just want to find something that compliments the engagement ring nothing that is to big or it will over power it.
