Well, olive oil does not provide such a sweet flavor, especially if used in large quantities like in banana bread, but canola oil is a great substitute. Crisco is very unhealthy though, and olive iol is very healthy, so i would probably do half and half, or just put in olive oil, see what happens ;)

No, olive oil will alter the flavor of your bread as it has a flavor all it's own. Besides, Crisco is a solid and olive oil is a liquid.

Definitely not--it would taste funny. Olive oil is used for savory dishes, not sweet. Use vegetable oil, butter, or margarine.

All fruits are fruit and vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually selected far too soon. Some are rocks, many are wrong. Some of the fruit and vegetables are generally right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

I wouldn't use olive oil myself, it has a very distinct taste...but vegetable oil and some applesauce will taste alright! :D
