chinans quality of life can't obviously compare to America's today but it seems things wil change on the future .

More problematic is the environmental issue related with a 1.4 billion population starting to buy cars and consuming a lot of natural resources.

It's not obvious that China receives millions of immigrants every year, it is just people from rural areas who are trying their chance in the East (gold) coast.

But you are right, immigrants might be important though for a population getting old like US, especially in 15-20 years.
