Some guy was yelling at me from his truck, and then got behind me where he could have written down my license number: is it possible for him to google it and find my street address?

Well, I checked out that website, and see that, even if they wanted to, they can't get my address, unless they happen to be private investigators... and even then, it would cost $35. Great answer.

Hey "Mr Know-It-All", I liked all the answers except for yours: as a matter of fact, I can't stand to see people talk and drive at the same time... In other words, I get JUST as angry as you do about people who drive while using their cell-phones. And I think it's very presumptious (look it up) of you to ASSUME that I was on a cell-phone, so watch who you call a "stupid fool", okay?

The only way he would be able to do it is if he knows someone that can access DMV files or he works somewhere that he can gain access.

Not on the Internet, but it's likely he could get it from the DMV somehow. If he claimed you were in an accident with him, he'd have a lot of info on you.
Best not to aggro people on the road. I know sometimes it's unavoidable, but the less you do to stir it up, the less likely he'll care enough to bother. The guy probably goes off on somebody every commute...
If you don't want people to know your street address, Mailboxes Etc. (now UPS Store) rocks.

The key word in your question is "Possible". Anything is possible depending on the individuals computer skills, or if he has a friend on the police force or one that works at the DMV/License Branch in your state. I've had a lot of friends on the force, and most of them aren't too worried about bending the rules to supply this type of information.

Yes, if you take a license plate number to the court house and enter it into the system there (usually close to the file room) it will come back with the name and address of whoever had the card registered, whose name the title is in rather

I dont know about getting it on google, but I was in a car once with a woman who was married to a police man. She got cut off by some guy, she immediately picked up her phone and called him and read his license number. We asked what she was gonna do, and she said her husband would send a threatning letter to his house. So it all depends on who you know.

If they have access to NCIC (national crime information center) which I highly doubt, they could not get information about your license plate. The only people who have access to those info are law enforcement, DMV, and other security firms. It is not open sourceto the public and even law enforcement have to be maintained properly in order for them to have the system. Any unauthorized used of his system are investigated and I've seen people go to jail for it.

This totally depends on what state you live in. I believe texas is one of the only states where there is a license directory that everyone can look at. Look at this website. It says the only way someone can get your adress is if they are a P. I.. Good Luck

i own a repair shop, and if he does do it ,,it don't stay silent ,,it leaves his name as well when he does this,,so if anything happens from it his name will be brought up,and he has to pay also, and its not as easy as it looks on these sites,,once you start the process its a lot different than just looking at the site,,it also notifies authorities that someone is doing a trace on you also,so its not as smooth as people say it is,,good luck i hope this help,s.

yeah, i think so, if that person know somebody from th govt, they can acquire a lot of information about the car and its driver or owner, when they got your social security number they can know a lot of things about you. technology is a two-bladed spear you know.
