Is roleplaying good for spicing things up?

I wanted to try:
- Underdog and Polly Purebred
- Mighty Mouse and Pearl Pureheart
- Cobra Commander and Cheer Bear
- Rocket J. Squirrel and Love-a-lot Bear
- Teddy Ruxpin and She-ra.

Any other suggestions?
