See here's the thing... my Husband is coming home for R & R & he called me last night w/ his itenerary & he said that he had a 6 hour layover in Atlanta & was scheduled to depart Atlanta at 1:15pm tomorrow, (Tuesday) afternoon for Nashville then, i would get him from there. But, with the itenerary he gave me it sounds like he isn't alloting himself enough time to get from Kuwait into Atlanta plus having a 6 hour layover in Atlanta so... somethings wrong somewhere. If you figure it up it only makes him being in the air from Kuwait into Atlanta about 16 hours & thats impossible i think.

Actually that sounds about right!
The flight time from Germany, either Frankfurt Am Main or Ramstein Air Base, to Atlanta should be about 10-10.5 hours, (as stated above). The only variables really being the en route weather conditions, (jet stream), and type of aircraft.
Did your hubby tell you which carrier he'll be coming in on from Germany? I'm sure it'll either be Delta, ATA, or World. For speed's sake, I hope it's World Airways. They do alot of AMC goverment charter and usually operate the MD-11 when doing so. The MD-11 operates at a fast cruising Mach number than anything that Delta, or especially ATA does.
Congratulations on your hubby's upcoming R&R, give him a veteran's thanks.

I've flown quite a few times from various locations in the States to Italy (with kids!) with layovers in Germany and Amsterdam. Depending on the flight plan, it was always between 8-10 hours for the long flight.
