how did socrates came to adopt his idea, to knowledge, or the socrates method (also his early influences), and why did he?

i've got some early influences like the Greek priestess Diotima,Anaxagoras, and Parmenides
is there anymore?

The best information on him you can get is from the book, Socrates Cafe, by Christopher Phillips. It centers around philosophy, but at the heart of it is Socrates. It's a pretty interesting read, too, if you have the time.

Good gods - that's an incredible question, and one I've never considered... and I had some of the great political teachers as professors.

I don't know that there are any more than what you've already researched, and I'm impressed with what you've got...

Certainly from a documented position - in most cases Socrates is considered the origin of Socratic thought....

I love philosophy, but it has been too long. To get those answers you will have to read the book (s). sorry I could not be more help.
