I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota 3.9 litre V6, I'm thinking of putting a throttle body spacer on it but I was wondering if clearance would be an issue, I'd rather not have to buy a new hood. And I was wondering if they are worth it, I have a cold air intake and I love it.

A spacer is a great way to add a little extra performance without a lot of work. Try this link: http://www.buddyandoscars.com/auto_parts_one.htm and check out the different spacers under the category 'Throttle Bodies & Spacers' for one that won't affect your stock hood clearance.

Throttle body spacers are junk, don't waste your time and money. If you don't believe me go to dodgedakotas.com and ask in the forum there, go to dakota-durango.com and ask there, these things add absolutely no performance or gas mileage changes. Spend that money on a new over sized throttle body or headers or an exhaust.

IT depends on what cold air system you have. If it's a knn generation 2 the answer is no. Not enough clearance. Defenitely not worth the price of a new hood.

yeah the spacers are designed for stock hood aplications. and kudos if you already have a cold air intake the spacer will help out additionally by slightly increasing the flow of the air.

they are a waste of money for 3.9, 4.7, 5.2, 5.9. as your fuel is injected straight in to the combustion chamber. and TB spacers says it mixes your fuel and air more for a better burn. so how can it do this when your fuel in injected in to the chambers and not in the TB.

I have heard it works on carburated engines as air and fuel is mixed in the carb.
