why is it us ladies like or maybe even LOVE the bad boys?? you know the type, calls you only when he wants to, covers their emotions about you (although they do admit they like/love you once before) and pretty much is the oppotisite of a nice guy? why is this?? serious answers only! thanks!

It's not whether he's a jerk or a nice guy that you like, it's something else.
"Nice guys," generally have less active personalities. That's what allows them to be able to think and be courteous and thoughtful. Active personalities are much more stimulating, but they are selfish, their actions governed by what is most urgent in their mind--not much courtesy or thoughfulness in there. Except when you get fed up and leave, then the most important thought may be to get you back--unless he see's a better companion at the time. When he losses her, he'll call you to see if you're still available. Before you decide, he might find another, then rebuff you while he's waiting for you answer (this could be literally minutes), if not he'll be there when you decide to take him back.
The steady and faithful nice guy won't do that, but altough he may actually be interesting, he's still not excitement--boring.
Also, if you're indecisive, you'd feel guilty to drop someone nice if a better guy came along. But there'd be little guilt dropping a jerk when someone nicer came along.
Sometimes, it might be looks. You fall in love with how he looks, and put up with the jerk in him to win the arm candy. Good looking nice guys, however, are grabbed up quickly and you may never be in the market there.

Because the jerky duds tell you what you want to hear. These guys can't make a committment to really think of anyone but themselves. You are hung up on them too and that feeds their fantasies. Go with the nice guys and you'll get a treasure every time. They may not be as glittery, but they are solid.

thats a good question...i even broke up with a guy one time because i thought he was being too nice...i think we are just attracted to risk takers and for some the reason the bad guys are always hotter.

you ladies fall for the bad boy because he is a negative challenge, you don't like the wimp because he is no challenge. you need to get with the guy who is a positive challenge. a guy who is a gentleman, who is not too needy. someone who has high self esteem

I suspect that the female gets addicted to the tension (he doesn't call, will he call, will he show up, what will I do if he doesn't), and the rush of whatever (maybe adrenaline) when the release comes (he shows up, calls, let's her have sex with him, says whatever he says) and then the cycle is repeated.

I know what you are saying because i fell for a complete loser and didn't realize it until i was in deep. I needed a ladder to get out of it ! I was very venerable and he found me on the net ! i know now to run !

i think its because of that mystery they have to them. like keeping everything to themselves and not letting us in. on the other hand the nice guys lay everything out and let us know where we stand basically make everything too easy for us, theres no chase

i think because bad boys have some kinda feel about them thats makes them appealing, mabey we like that they dont care, or they are wild, or dont follow the rules cause they can, or mabey they act nice and then once we like them, we see their true colors, i dunno, but i have always wondered that too, and wat i think is, bad boys are ok to like, as long as they dont treat you wrong, they dont do anything to hurt you, and they dont get u in trouble, but other than that, i dont see anything wrong with them! well good luck <3
