Because Truth transcends time. If a 2000 year old Chinese medical book teaches a valid way to cure a disease why reinvent the wheel?
I follow the Truth regardless of age because this Truth has succeeded for 2000 years of skepticism!
Wow, I would say it is the TRUTH! The Roman Catholic Faith falls into the reason for it's credibility over other new faith ideas. They have lasted through the skepticism and critics of the millenniums.
Talk about your miraculous intervention. No human organization could last this long without God.

How come you still believe in a letter invented thousand years ago? How come you still use paper money and not something else? How come you believe that you have the "self" even though you cant pin point its exact location? How come you wear clothes even though this is just a convention from old times? How come you use spoon and fork or whatever utensil for eating if this is also but a convention? How come you believe in freedom or not believe in freedom, if these questions were asked and answered long time ago?
There are somethings that does not change either because it is a universal fact or because man still needs it, just like conventions and facts of science.

Have you ever read Aristotle or Hippocrates, they still apply and they are older. Only difference is the Bible introduces us to the true us. People in need of salvation.
No its not out of date, and neither are the 2000 year old Asian medicine books that refer to meridians in the body a.k.a. the use of acupressure and acupuncture.
They still work.

God is not only more than 2000 years old, He is also more than 2000 times more powerful than anything you can imagine. If He needs to remind you every ten minutes what He wants, then you are of no use to Him. And you will go to Hell. End of story (for you).

Messages don't change over time. Just words and customs.
