Five-Minute Fudge Wreath
Serving Size : 32 (2 pounds)
1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate morsels
9 ounces (3/4 of a 12-ounce bag) butterscotch morsels
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) can walnut halves
1/2 cup (a couple of handfuls) currants
8-inch cake pan, lightly greased with softened butter
Candied cherries, red and green, for garnish, optional
Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined. Save the empty condensed milk can. Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat. Add nuts and currants and stir in immediately.
Cover empty condensed milk can with plastic food wrap and center it in the greased cake pan. Spoon fudge into pan around can, making sure to recenter can if it drifts. The fudge will set up almost immediately. Garnish can only be added in the first minute or 2 the fudge is in the pan, so work quickly.
Decorate your wreath with "holly" made from cut candied red and green cherries. A wreath left plain can be garnished with a pretty fabric bow when serving. Chill covered in the refrigerator and slice fudge very thin when ready to serve, a little goes a long way.

Melt Mint Milk Chocolate Candy (Merckens is the best) and dip a ritz cracker until fully covered, then they on wax paper. When cooled they taste just like a Girlscout Thin Mint Cookie.
Also, melt milk chocolate and cover fresh fruit. My family and friends go nuts over it.
I make chocolate covered nuts and raisins as well.
Experiment....that is the fun of it.

Toasted Almond Candy
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup slivered almonds, toasted**
6 squares of vanilla (white) almond bark
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Kahlua
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
PREPARATION:
**To toast nuts, spread out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast in a 350° oven, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Or, toast in an ungreased skillet over medium heat, stirring, until golden brown and aromatic.
Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring. When melted, stir in almonds (mixture will be thick). Turn into a lightly buttered loaf pan and pat in. Invert to a piece of wax paper approximately 14 to 16 inches in length. Gently pat candy to flatten with hands or by placing another piece of wax paper over it and going over it gently with a rolling pin. Freeze for 10 minutes, until hardened. Cut or break up and store in a covered container in the refrigerator.

I like to dip mini-pretzels (regular pretzel shape) half-way into milk or white chocolate... I'll occasioanlly drizzle a bit of the opposite color chocoate over the ones that have dried... the mix of sweet and salty is fabulous! After dipping, let them dry on parchment or foil, store in airtight container.
