Snickerdoodles are often claimed to have been invented in the 19th-century United States, but this is disputed — the recipe for the cookies cannot be found in any cookbook of the era. They're sugar cookies rolled in cinnamon & sugar- they come out of the oven a little puffy and then deflate to form a bumpy crispy top. Delicious.

It is a cookie that is like a sugar cookie but it is rolled in cinnamon and sugar before baking. They're quite delicious!
