How can I stress my calf muscles severly, enough to pull 'em?

I've tried calf raises like mad - it has helped build some muscle on the inside part of my calves. I always stretch them, by standing on the handle part of a 40lb dumbell. Now I want to build even MORE muscle on the inner calves. How can I pull those muscles?

Should I have a lighter person/a girl perhaps, sitting on my back while I stretch my calves ??

Umm. I don't think you want a "pulled" muscle - that hurts.

But yes, you can do "Donkey calf raises" with someone sitting on your back. You bend at a 90 degree angle and rest your arms on a table, ledge or whatever with your toes elevated on a board or whatever. The person sitting on your back can hold a 45 pound plate as well to stress your calves even more. As you raise on your toes contract your calves as hard as you can and hold that contraction as long as you can.

Another option if you can't find someone to sit on you is to just cut the lift in half. Use the same weight but only use 1 leg at a time. I do this on the 45 degree leg press machine.

There is some great information on building freaky big calves here:
