what is wrong with you people

numbers don't mean anything
they don't make any one religion more correct
and like I've said before, the majority is 90% wrong most of the time =P

don't use the excuse of numbers to rub it in people's faces, instead of boasting statistics, just appreciate your religion and be happy with it rather than try to get even more people to convert, conversion is bullshit, like horseshit

Hindus don't believe in conversion because they believe no matter what religion you're born into, they acknowledge all the religions and gods as one

so what if you're muslim by name, why don't you actually practice the religion CORRECTLY for once

stupid numbers, it's amazing how people are so blind

and just because it's growing doesn't eman it's attracting people mostly, muslims tend to have a lot of kids, and they're allowed to have more than one wife, so they're reproducing faster

why don't you give me substance instead of numbers

Estimates of the total number of Muslims in the world vary greatly:
bullet 0.700 billion or more, Barnes & Noble Encyclopedia 1993
bullet 0.817 billion, The Universal Almanac (1996)
bullet 0.951 billion, The Cambridge Factfinder (1993)
bullet 1.100 billion, The World Almanac (1997)
bullet 1.200 billion, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic relations)

At a level of 1.2 billion, they represent about 22% of the world's population. They are the second largest religion in the world. Only Christianity is larger, with 33% of the world's inhabitants.

Islam is growing about 2.9% per year. This is faster than the total world population which increases about 2.3% annually. It is thus attracting a progressively larger percentage of the world's population.

christians, muslim, atheist , your all wrong so what does it matter anyway , i'd rather die on my feet then live on my knees , they may have the numbers but the only reason they do is that they focus on converting the weak and killing the strong much like Christianity did in the past , problem is once you've killed all the strong is that your relgion is filled with weak minded fools who have no path in life but to follow weak and manipulative lies, great lot of good that will do for the human race

We feel it is the right religion, and clearly plenty of people are agreeing with us if they're joining it. Conversion to Islam is 400% higher than conversion to Christianity and Judaism and Hinduism and Buddism combined.

I don't know why you posted those verses, but they're talking about worldly riches distracting you from your duty to pray to God, and that you may not realize it until you are dead and God is going to judge you.

The same reason Christians do. To make themselves look more appealing.

some religions think that the numbers they have is a sign that it is backed by God, there's a cult here that boast about numbers as a sign that god is with them.

It's a commonly used fallacy among those with popular beliefs. Using the size of their numbers they insinuate that they are correct, but for those who do not believe it's seen more as threatening.

Why would anybody voluntarily choose to go back to the 12th century?

Why not? They are of one of the fastest grown faiths in the world. They must be doing something right in order to convert so many people.
