Generally, by the time a child hits the weight limit, the swing is already finished for your child. Many swings have a limit of 25lbs. but as soon as your child starts overswinging (rocking their body and tipping the swing a bit) or unstrapping, it's time to take them out.

Both of my boys loved their swing but it got to be a danger right around a year of age for both of them. I probably missed it more than they did (those things are a godsend ... the only time I got to drink hot tea was when they were swinging).

If you look up the swing name, you should be able to find the weight limits but I'm sad to say, your son will likely be finished with the swing before he gets there.

depends on the swing, the smaller ones tend to hold less weight than the bigger ones. Some are good for 20 pounds and some are good for 25 pounds. You might wanna google the make/model and find out for sure what the limit is.

WOW! My son learned how to crawl out of his (even buckled down) by 7 months! As long as he isn't trying to climb out of it he is probably okay. I would not leave him alone in it though. One day he WILL be determined to get out and could hurt himself!!

All of them are different though. I would google the brand online and then see what the weight limit is
